Contribute up to $400 as a single person, or up to $800 as a couple, to We Value Our Teachers Foundation and GET A TAX CREDIT (not just a deduction) for the full amount of your donation on your Arizona income tax. If you itemize, you will get a charitable deduction on your Federal income tax.
Married residents filing jointly, or single residents, or heads of household can take a TAX CREDIT on donations up to $800 or $400, respectively, which can be subtracted dollar-for-dollar from their Arizona State Income Tax liability.
This charitable tax credit is in addition to the other Arizona tax credits, such as the Schools tax credit. PLUS, you can deduct the amount of your donation if you itemize deductions on your Federal income tax return!
This can save you more in income tax payments than the amount of your contribution! Contributions can be made up to April 15, 2020 and can be claimed on your Arizona 2019 return and your 2020 Federal return (after January 1st.)
